Part 2

After a good night sleep and a little coffee and eats we were ready for the last 2 shops, then home. We drove from Overland Park KS. to Lamar MO.  There is The Blue Top Quilt Shop .  Big place with loads of fabric and nice people.  I found some great deals After they served us a yummy lunch we were off to our last stop. The Rabbit's Lair in Rogers, Arkansas. Located in the historic part of Rogers in what was originally a drug store. I have been to this shop many times over the years and Mary, the owner is a friend of mine.  You never know what you will find in her shop, it's a wonderful surprise and I never fail to come home with a bag of goodies.  Like this time I found this beautiful line of blue and grey fabric. Plan on making it up in a orange peel pattern. After that it was head home. Just a wonderful 3 days and can't wait till the next time.

All Great things Come to an End

Friday was a great day in so many ways.... the weather, being in the company of so many great quilters and the wonderful shops we got to visit today.  The first shop we went to was Sew Simple Quilt Shoppe in  Ozark, MO..  The owner Amber has been in business for 13 years and 8 of them in her current location. Here at this shop I purchase the fabric to make this quilt which I fell in love with.                       Fabric collection of Jen Kingswell and the pattern by Moda.          2nd Shop Then we were off to Meadows Quilting and Sewing in Leavenworth KS.  Very cool shop full of wonderful modern fabric.    And racks of Aurifil and Presencia thread. It's like looking at a rainbow. The owners  Rocky and Christian are a sweet couple and were very gracious. Th

Day Three and Last Day

Boy, can't believe that this was the last day, I was just getting into the hang of it. Had a very nice room and comfy bed so being ready by 7 am was easy today. We have 3 shops today and then back to Sager Creek . Our first stop was the Quilt Sampler in Springfield, Missouri. Yes, it is owned by the same person as the one in Tulsa, Oklahoma and this time I did get pictures. This  I believe is Newman, their shop dog. Pam and Cliff at Sager Creek have a shop dog too. I get pictures of Bentley to post. Love this Log Cabin variation by Kaye England My friend Linda H. is making this quilt, really sweet one. They have a big shop, so their displays were very photogenic. This shop is the only one we visited that had such a large selection of quilting stencils. Now we are on to our next stop and lunch at Block by Block in Carthage, Missouri. The color of the fall foliage was just starting to turn but at the courthouse square in downtown Carthage it was lovel
