Mainly what's up is on the table. Forgot I told my mom that I would contribute some pillowcases to be donated to the children cancer center in Tulsa. So this morning it's catch up time. Have 3 fabric combination that will be nice. Have more but time is an issue today. Children prints is something I have a lot of lately.  Using the sausage roll method, which is the easiest and quickest way to make pillowcases that I know of. This Youtube video is the method I am using. Gives a nice clean seam, shows how to do a french seam so there are no raw seam edge inside the pillowcase. There are other videos out there with and without french seams but this is one out of the few I watch that was clear to see and understand. So here are my 3 cases ready to be dropped off at Mom's later today. Did have a few completed border blocks for the Scandinavian Christmas wallhanging up on the design wall. This month's color For RSC16 is orange, as many of you probably already know.  I love going to Soscrappy's blog and seeing all the wonder projects others are doing. Which is what I am going to do after I'm done posting this. I haven't started mine yet but I do have a couple choices to pick from. The first is a basic strip block set with a sashing. Like this one I've found on pinterest. Or......   something similar to the Four Winds Quilt pattern offered by Fancy Tiger Crafts Their quilt here is made for a queen size bed but I lik e the layout and I'm making a baby quilt so it will be different of course. This would make a great bed quilt. I have a good stash of orange to pick from and would love to made a good dent in it. Now over at Confessions of a Fabric Addict  she is helping others with their scrap problem, like herself. So between Soscrappy and her, maybe I can make some progress on my scrap problem.  I

What I started yesterday was cutting out the pieces for this month Stash Busters pattern.  I have had the fabric picked out for quite a while now and I'm just finally getting around to cutting it and stitching. Seeing how the meeting is Thursday, no rush. LOL All the fabric I did have in my stash and it will be a twin size quilt when finished. What a great way to use up what I already have without thinking about what pattern I'm going to use. They are usually an easy pattern to construct, and this one will be what I consider one of those easy on e. I was in a rush and this ended being so blurry, sorry As you can see it's just a bunch of squares and rectangles assembled together. This one too To me it looks like a sweet little girls quilt. Well another month has past and another collection of circles for the ISpy quilt.  Over at Quilty Folk others have linked up what they have done for Quilty 365 . She had asked how many days we have and I believe it's around 120 days but seeing how I'm making 2 quilts my number of circles should be doubled that. For this month there should be 60 but was only able to get 42 done. That's OK.  

I'm still working on these socks and almost done, on the cuff now. And I don't know about you but it seems like the closer I get to the end of a project I start thinking about what to make next. Usually there a long list needing to be worked from and then I'll go to the yarn shop and I'll have more projects to add.  Heaven  know I do not need more yarn, but I lose all will power and leave with more. Did this time, so gorgeous tho. Red Fish is Forbidden Wooley Babel, Lime is Ella Rue Lace Merino and the small skeins are Wooly Wonka Ceridwen Soak This time I came back with a pattern to use up some more of my stash too This one is called "Fringeworthy" and was told it's a very easy. I was given this yarn and will use it for this pattern. It does need to wash but I'm not sure if I should wash it first or afterwards. What would you do? I would like to know if you have had this issue and what worked for you

For my birthday this year I decided to give myself a gift and it was to take yoga classes from a professionally trained instructor. Never have and have for decades follow a video or lately an app that is really good. But sometimes I feel I'm not doing the poses right.  Well there no classes near me so I've ended up going to Tulsa to The Inner Peace Studio. They are very nice, knowledgable and patient. I have a mat, blocks and a belt which I've stored them in a pillow case. That was ok for home but after taking my pillow case with me, it's not really the best way to take my stuff with me. So after a google search, came across lots of bags like this but they only held your mat and I needed something that would also hold the blocks and belt too. Up on the design wall is my finished March rainbow scrap quilt. I can now say I have another project to machine quilt on, and another baby quilt to find a home for. I'm working on the rest  of my Quilty Circle 365 for the month. I found some new novelty prints at the Dallas quilt show earlier this month and I'm taking the time now to cut out I spy circles.  Not sure if I will get them sewn  today or tomorrow, seeing how I really would like to start machine quilting on the baby quilt. I've been looking at images online of other urban nine patches. Wanted to get some quilting ideas on how to go about doing mine. I had to keep in mind that I am a beginner and cannot get some of the patterns that are shown accomplished because they were done either on a movable long arm or by a professional. But nonetheless I have gotten some really good pattern that I am going to attempt Linking up at love laugh quilt .patchworkt imes
