I have done very little knitting this week that I believe if I was to show you a picture from now compared to last week you couldn't see a difference.
So instead here are some stitch markers that I had made a few weeks back.
These are some beads I picked up at Hobby Lobby that were on sale.
So I purchase rings also from the jewelery dept.
The bead ring has a slit that I could open and then close up after attaching it to the larger ring.
They are very pretty, don't you think.
Crochet some flowers on rings.
Then while at Hobby Lobby I found these wool balls in the clearance section. Did the same as before attached a ring to each ball.
Turned out cute.
What I like about the ones I made is the fact they are small and do not get in the way of my knitting..
I have a request, I am looking for sites to visit besides Ravelry or Very Pink Knits which I do now. What are your favorite site?
Could you leave me yours in the comments.
Thank you.
I did want share what I listened to while driving to California last month.
When 22-year-old Jennifer Worth, from a comfortable middle-class upbringing, went to work as a midwife in the poorest section of postwar London, she not only delivered hundreds of babies and touched many lives, she also became the neighborhood's most vivid chronicler. Call the Midwife: Farewell to the East End is the last book in Worth's memoir trilogy, which the Times Literary Supplement described as "powerful stories with sweet charm and controlled outrage" in the face of dire circumstances.

Now I want to watch the series that is on PBS
The Appalachian Trail trail stretches from Georgia to Maine and covers some of the most breathtaking terrain in America - majestic mountains, silent forests, sparking lakes. If you’re going to take a hike, it’s probably the place to go. And Bill Bryson is surely the most entertaing guide you’ll find. He introduces us to the history and ecology of the trail and to some of the other hardy (or just foolhardy) folks he meets along the way - and a couple of bears. Already a classic, A Walk in the Woods will make you long for the great outdoors (or at least a comfortable chair to sit and read in).

Loved this one with it's humor, history and facts was a perfect blend.
Penobscot Indian Molly Ayer is close to "aging out" out of the foster care system. A community-service position helping an elderly woman clean out her home is the only thing keeping Molly out of juvie and worse.... As she helps Vivian sort through her possessions and memories, Molly learns that she and Vivian aren’t as different as they seem to be. A young Irish immigrant orphaned in New York City, Vivian was put on a train to the Midwest with hundreds of other children whose destinies would be determined by luck and chance

It was a good read.

Those stitch markers are adorable. A co worker made me a set of markers she had made out of polymer clay that were a bunch of miniature desserts. The only problem was that the loops and wrote she used did not stay in the clay once everything had been cooked so now I have to repair a bunch of them.
ReplyDeleteGood luck making a little more progress on your projects for this next week!
Loops and wire, not wrote!
DeleteThose sounded cute. Do you think super glue would work?
DeleteThank you, I hope to get some done by next weds.
