Time Flys.

Amazing how quickly time flies by these days. Been 2 weeks already since I last wrote, and I have so much to tell you about.  When I last spoke to you, I spent that following week helping my youngest daughter move to a new home in the town she lives in. I was very surprised that after 4 days of packing, moving, and unpacking, I felt great. I figured I would be sore and worthless for the next week, but that wasn’t the case; just tired. Thank goodness because while at her place, I got the call that the contractor could start on the job of remodeling my kitchen. This is something I have been wanting for ages.  So Monday, they started working on the kitchen.  These are pictures before they started.  My kitchen was originally built in 1982. It’s dark, not as functional as I need it to be as I’ve gotten older. I want a lighter and more functional kitchen, that is the vision I have planned.  As of ...

August Finishes

Here we are again, another month that seem to just fly by. Its amazing considering we all seem to suffer one way or another from the weather. Here in NE Oklahoma it was extreme heat and humidity. A good thing because of it I was inside a lot, which meant I was keeping myself busy with projects. Was pretty successful too. This is going to be a picture heavy post. I have also slowly been going through boxes in the garage. and in one of them I found the top I made back in 2012. It was one of Bonnie Hunters mystery quilts, Easy Street.  I didn't have it quilted at the time because I just thought it wasn't complete so I put it away. Well I saw it and realized what was missing, a boarder. It...

Peaceful Sunday

It has been another one of those weeks. Had family from out of state come to visit with my parents and which I was over at their house everyday and then Doctor visits Friday.  My DS and I went to Pawhaska to Ree Drummond's  Mercantile store and we were also able to go to the Lodge where they film her cooking show on the food Network I wish I would of took more pictures but there was quite the crowd. Love this huge fireplace. FYI; every bedroom has its own full bathroom and there was 5(?) bedrooms Yesterday needed to go by my parents house and deliver dinner for them. Tried out a new recipes they had printed out at the clinic that was low in sodium.  Lemonade Chicken Was pretty tasty. I haven't been able to do any sewing but had started a new embroidery project   Halloween Journey by Crabapple Hill I started this 2 weeks ago. I'm using a printable sticky transfer that is water solvable by Sulky Took 4 sheets ...
