What's Up 4.10.17

It is such a pretty spring day and I have been busy outside, so I haven't yet got to what's up on the design wall. I have about half of the main body of this top completed and two rows left. And the border to add. Then there is the Jen Kingwell pattern Gardenvale on the cutting table. I did also finish the binding I had started a couple weeks ago. As you can see Pete (or just his tail)is enjoying this quilt. Cats sure like quilts. Now they are ready to find a home. Linking up with  love laugh quilt ems scrapbag patchwork times

What's Up 1.30.17

What's up on the wall is this coming months stash busters pattern. Have all the single units sewn and or cut, ready to be assembled. Referring to yesterday this is probably what I should of been working on but I had thought about it and I figure if I do not get this done before Thursday, I'll probably be capable of machine sewing before hand sewing. While writing this made me think about when stash buster was happening and if I'll be able to go. And no I won't be able to go, it's the same day of surgery. BUMMER. Oh well I can show it in Aprils meeting. Linking up with patchwork times love laugh quilt cooking up quilts ems scrapbag

Finally Somethings Up

I have been MFB (missing from blogging) way too long and I have had wanting to write. I would either be too busy or just too tired at the end of the day. I am right now but I will do my best to make since. The past couple of days I have been working on this months RSC15 blocks. Still need to trim these up.   But here are the others that are completed. YEAH!!!! I had a few blocks left from a quilt I made my oldest daughter. I'll figure out how to make them into a baby quilt. And I did finally finish the two tops I was doing for stash busters last month. I used what I had on hand and they will be gifts for this Christmas. Figure I get an early start. Same fabric and blocks but love how a different setting can give each a unique look.

Sew-a-thon Day 2 (with updates)

I'm ready Showered, dressed, and had breakfast.  It's day two  of my personal sew-a-thon. I think I made a good dent in my tub.    What do you think? So I will do like I did yesterday, I will post updates a couple times during the day and evening. When the title of my post said (with updates) that mean of course added something. So if you come back to look to see if I've done anything you don't see that up there you'll know that I hadn't posted anything yet.  The first project I'll work on is that stash busters.    I will finish putting the rows on that and then the border.  Then I'll go back to the binding strips I cut. Do some pressing and will be ready to attach to the quilt. Not sure how long but I'll get back on show the finished top.  Till then  Well my morning and early afternoon did not go as I had planned. The "man of the place" with home to take care of so

What's Up Monday

I have been busy outside of the home that I wasn't able to do much sewing today.  But here is what I have up on the wall waiting for more blocks to be completed.  Its going to be a full size quilt which will need 30 blocks and I have 20 done. The pattern is one you use a Jelly roll plus some for the sashing and borders. The pattern used is one that is from Sager Quilt. Every other month they have a meeting called Stash Busters where they give a free pattern and we come back two months later with our quilts we made using what we had in our stash. This one I have used only what I had in my stash. I want to share the pattern here.  I have up also are the blocks to the new 30's club quilt. Its a Lori Smith pattern  Lily's Garden I noticed that I hadn't appliqued the bottom right block when I took this picture, it's done now.
