An Explosion of Crumbs

Why is it that when I  work on these crumb blocks, my room  looks like my scrap basket exploded. I mean it, exploded. It has looked like this every time and I thought I would just share it. I was wondering, does your space end up like this or am I just a very messy quilter. I was able to get quite a few  blocks done this afternoon. I really liked making these log cabin blocks the best so far. I like how I do not have to worry about the seams being a perfect 1/4 inch or that they will match up on each strip. Can just slap it together and it looks great. LOVING IT And then I got crazy and continue to make a few more filler blocks. Look at how big my pile is getting. WHOO - HOO This is just way too much fun for one person, enjoying the process. Till next time, Kat =^..^=

Just a few crumbs

This past week I have been feeling like I have too many irons in the fire. Normally I can manage all that is needed around the farm and in the house but not lately. I just can't seem to concentrate and I am going around in circles, so needless to say I haven't gotten much sewing done. All I was able to get accomplished these past 2 weeks were 5 blocks. So this makes a total of 30 blocks and I think I might need a few more than that. I had written to Michele, a distracted quilter at Distracted Quilter  that I was going to make mine bed size. Boy I'm starting to think I might of been having an out of mind experience. They have a word for that and I think it's called   menopause. This one is what "the man of the place" has to deal with at times. I just thought this was a cute one  And this one is just too funny Till next time, Kat =^..^=

Oh more crumbs

OK here is my 3rd weeks attempt at my crumbs into blocks. I am learning lots from not measuring or using a proper seam allowance. You can see from star that it is so much easier not to have points on my star, I realized what I was doing wrong, it's all in the placement. The ones that where you just sew bits and pieces to is so relaxing. I really like doing these. The hearts are so easy. If it wasn't for wanting to get this posted before I left the house, I would have zillions of them (OK maybe not zillions, but more for sure). If you have not tried these process before (like me) give it a shot. You might like it. Check out Jo's Country  , she'll get you started Till next time Kat =^..^=
