My Sunday was far from slow, seems like lately my weekends are all about catching up on things around the house seeing how I am gone a lot during the week.
I have been working hard trying to finishing quilting on Blue Rocky Road
but need to put that aside again because I want to get the Scandinavian Christmas wallhanging completed so I can display it this Christmas.
Pinned basted the sandwich.
Figure since I won't be handle this for too long that pinned basting will be good enough.
Haven't used this PVC hoop before and it's really not bad.
Working out so far
I'm doing a general outline of the large appliqued right now but will do snowflakes in the open spaces and then something around the cross stitch frame.
I will quilt on this like I had been, in the morning but also put in some time in the evening too.

It can be a challenge playing catch up on weekends. We do the best we can. I have used a PVC frame with excellent results. Hope you can finish the wallhanging.
ReplyDeleteThank you and after a few hours with this hoop I do like it .
DeleteI see usoing it more in the future
I love your Christmas Wall Hanging - name of pattern and were it can be purchased? Probably wouldn't get it done this year if I make but maybe next year? what size is it?
ReplyDeleteKaren, the name is Scandinavian Christmas by Lynnette Anderson. This was a BOM at The Rabbit Lair many years ago and now that shop is closed. I know you can still get the pattern.
DeleteI have just begun my Scandinavian Christmas blocks. Yours are a real inspiration to me. They are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteOh how exciting, I have loved every moment making this and she is such a great designer. Her pattern has all the things I love....applique, embroidery, sewing and quilting. Have fun

ReplyDeleteIt's a gorgeous quilt. You should definitely finish it so you can have it for the holiday.
