It has been another one of those weeks.
Had family from out of state come to visit with my parents and which I was over at their house everyday and then Doctor visits Friday.
My DS and I went to Pawhaska to Ree Drummond's Mercantile store and we were also able to go to the Lodge where they film her cooking show on the food Network
I wish I would of took more pictures but there was quite the crowd.
Love this huge fireplace.
FYI; every bedroom has its own full bathroom and there was 5(?) bedrooms
Yesterday needed to go by my parents house and deliver dinner for them. Tried out a new recipes they had printed out at the clinic that was low in sodium.
Was pretty tasty.
I haven't been able to do any sewing but had started a new embroidery project
Halloween Journey by Crabapple Hill
I started this 2 weeks ago.
I'm using a printable sticky transfer that is water solvable by Sulky
Took 4 sheets to get all of the design.
I can use it with and with out a hoop.
Started with the hoop but now I'm stitching without one
Love the fall colors of the threads.
So far this is what I have done
I'm guessing about a third done.
I'm using a back stitch, the pattern did not suggest which stitch to use.
Working out so far.
The leaves will be wool and appliqued on and do need to fill in the spiders still.
But I figure at the rate I've been going I hope to have it done a few weeks before Halloween
I'll plan to keep you posted.
I wanted to write this past week about it being National Indoor Plant Week.
I have a good collection of indoor plants and wanted to share photos but that just didn't happen. Maybe someday I can.
Till Next Time

Loved the enormous fireplace and the amazing collection of boots displayed.
ReplyDeleteReally cute stitch pattern! Your stitch work is lovely.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful Halloween stitchery to enjoy at this time of year!
ReplyDeleteI've never used Solvy for hand stitching ... let us know how you like it.
I’ve been to “The Merc” a couple of times. Enjoyed it and the Restaurant. Awesome you were able to go to The Lodge! Your stitching is going to be beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThat stitchery is amazing. And thanks for the tip on the sticky printable transfer paper. I have a couple of quilts that have embroidery and was thinking that this winter I could transfer the design to fabric with a marking pen. This will be so much easier.
ReplyDeleteLove the new embroidery project! Hope life slows down a bit and you can work in some more stitching time.
