Hello November


 Here it is the 1st of November and I’m thinking how many days till    
Christmas 




Doesn’t seems that long does it.

I’ve been already collecting gifts trying to get ahead start for a change.

How about yourself?


Today was therapy for the Lymphedema. Today she shown me some exercises to aid with the swelling. I’m still waiting for the compression leggings.

I forgot to mentioned that last week our large freezer went out and thank goodness we have an smaller freezer to put some of the stuff in. 

Eventually we’ll have to get it repaired or replaced. 

If isn’t one thing or another.   


I’m rushing through this and what I planned will have to be 

tomorrow 

I’ll finish and post it.

    Yes it does always seems to be something that needs fixing, cleaning, tending, etc. Hope you are able to enjoy the changing leaves and spend some time with some type of needle and thread.

Yarn Along 2/20/13 Spoon Pin Doily

It's snowing here and I know some of you are tired of snow but here we will take the moisture any way we can get it. Plus it just gives me a reason to stay in and work on some of my projects. In this picture I'm not sure if you can make it out but in the background there are some wild turkeys that hang around the house sometime, just  chilling This project I'm working on is Spool Pin Doilies.   I had never heard of them before until Bonnie Hunter had mentioned it on her blog . She a had a viewer send her one for her sewing machine along with a pattern. I did not like the pattern but loved the idea so I decided to make up my own version. I wanted a more simple, smaller and fuller doily. So I tried different thread sizes to get one that I like. (From left to right) I tried sock yarn, which I'll redo because I think I like that look. Countdown to Autumn. 18 days

  After some thought I came up with a general "get to" list for a pre - Autumn preparation. I had mentioned a couple in the last post. I will keep those and have added a few more. I needed to remind myself that a lot of my ideas are a little premature hance the pre autumn and will be better done next month. So here is what I came up with... Deep cleaning is still on Planning activity for next month Decorating inside and out.   Making a fall outfit, sewing and knitting Find some new recipes to try Make a pair of fall or Halloween socks I will be focus on journaling with Autumn being the present subject.  Making sourdough bread again This one I have already started, Watching a cozy, feel good show. So "the man of the place" and are rewatching PBS All Creatures Great and Small. In a matter of a couple days we have watched season 1. I figure we need to refrain ourselves and keep it down to a couple episodes a night. Today I put a binding on another quilt from the pile. ...
