I figure I should show you some of the progress I’ve have made in the studio.
I started this endeavor at the beginning of the month and plugged along at every chance I could get.
So I decided I would tackle the room methodically, start by the door and worked my way around, clockwise of course
So when you first walk in on your left is the cubicle cabinet. I have these cloth cubes and each one is filled and have been for years.
Here is the before
All the clutter ….
Here is what was in all these cubes. I realized this post is going to be heavy with photos …. figure you needed to see what I meant by filled
One cube had quilt patterns that I’ve collected over the years I like and thought about making. But there are so many I do not think it is realistic that I will get to making them all.
This is from the cube that had my hand quilting thread and accessories
Another cube of bits and bobs.
Missing are pictures from the cubes that had my appliqué tools. There were 2 cubes that had plant material and other natural dye stuff.
I have gone through it all and found a proper home for all the items. I did cleaned off the top of the shelf. The little storage unit on the left, I purge the stuff and moved it to the other side of the room. That will come later.
So here is the after
Forgot to talk about the cart next to the shelf.
I removed all the odd stuff on it and now it’s has on the top section sock yarn or finger weight yarn.
Bottom has the fabrics I had cut out patterns, which are ready to make.
Middle shelf nothing much. Yarn I’m using in a project.
I think that’s enough for today. More tomorrow
It's looking good. I don't have a craft room, but we recently ripped carpet out of a walk in closet (where my yarn was). I just moved it to shelves upstairs, and in the process purged many craft supplies. I gave so much away, tossed unfinished projects, and finally emptied all the boxes in the living room. I ended up donating some of my yarn I don't use too. It feels great. I am not completely done, but for me less was best.
ReplyDeleteoh you did good with that area.............goodluck on the next section............
