Been a long time

I know that it has been ages since I last posted. But if you are a long-ago follower, you know that for some years now I’ve been a very inconsistent blogger.

It’s been on my mind for some time now that I’ve come to realize how much I missed blogging.

First off, I can say that I’m doing well and can still say that I’m a 2-time cancer survivor, thanks to God, a good oncologist, and a surgeon.

A lot has happened since I last wrote (September 2024). Longer than I thought it was. Too much to try to get it out on this one post.

Will start with what is just happening now.

One thing and the most important to me is that 15 years ago I started this blog, amazing.

Where has the time gone?

Which is what I want to share now of the projects that are being worked on.

On my needles is the last sock of the pair. Pattern is one of Summer Lee

I like the texture of the pattern. I’ve been making socks from her designs and decided that this year would be her patterns mainly.

Beautiful, she is a talented designer

I have another pair of socks started that is one of her patterns but I haven’t been working on them lately and will share those when I pick them back up.

I’ve also been working on this week an embroidery project.
I picked up this kit at local shop in Tulsa.

It’s a sweet design and fun to work on. I enjoy embroidery more than I do cross stitching.

I just started this one and I’m working on the outer edge of the cup.
There will be more details and I bet will take longer than I think it will, always does. I underestimate all the time.

I believe this will become a gift for one of my daughters, which all love cats.
Now this is not all the WIP’s I have at the moment but it’s all I’ll burden you with at this point.

Thank you for taking time for this “get my toes wet” short post.
It’s feels wonderful to be back at writing again and with practice I should be able to write more for the amount of time it took for me to get this finished.

Till next time

How to Make a Portable Design Wall

I had wanted to get a portable design wall to take to retreats but did not want to pay the price. Looked at various pins on pinterest and took ideas from more than one to come up with my verison. It worked out great and only cost a fraction of the price. The PVC pipes, joints and 2 yards of felt cost under $22.00 My design wall is 4' x 4' which stands approximately 5 1/5' tall. For this size need 2 - 10ft length of 3/4" PVC pipe for the frame and 4ft of 1" PVC pipe for the feet Cut the 3/4" PVC into 4 - 4' section                                                                                       2 - 1' section              Cut the 1"  PVC into 4 - 1' section        ...
