Two for One Day 5 & 6

I was so tired after being out all day and got home around 7 pm blogging was out of the question.  Now I have been trying to get out a this post out for a while and for some unknown reason I can’t get the pictures to load and attach to the post.   I really do feel this post is incomplete without pictures. Yesterday was a trip to Rogers Arkansas and did a little shopping and such…… need the pics. My finished dish cloth and the sweater I was blocking…… need pics. Then what I want work on tonight, crochet chickens, ones to replace the ones the cats refuse to stop playing with….need pics   I hope this a soon to be fix Has anyone else been experiencing this problem? So sorry for the blah blah blah post. Here’s to a better next time  Kat

Blogtober Day 4

Something wicked this way comes  William Shakespeare  It was another beautiful morning out on the porch. This morning I decided that instead of cutting my time short out on the porch enjoying my cuppa coffee I would just move my compressor and the boot that I put over my leg outside and just take care of it out there while I was having my coffee. I need to wear the boot for an hour in the morning and in the evening. So you can see how that can take up a good chunk of time each time I have to do it.  I so enjoyed sitting out there this morning and I believe as long as the weather is enjoyable I will just keep on doing that in the morning. After I was done with that I check the pressure in the tires of my bike and went for a ride. I try to ride my bike at least three times a week at least 2 miles. Beside being good for you it is also beneficial to help keep the swelling of lymphedema manageable.  I spent a good couple hours in the studio this afternoon which has been long overdue. Here

Day 3 of Blogtober

It’s day 3 and it was a beautiful day again.  Sunny, in the 80’s and dry. It’s been over 30 days since we have had rain here in NE Oklahoma. Which is unusual.  Here are a few pics from yesterday and today of the pool we took down. We purchased this 4 years ago for the grandsons to use when they visited in the summer but unfortunately with all that has gone on the past 2 1/2 years the pool has been empty except for rain. And now with the lack of rain the pool was dry and perfect to clean out and put away A lot of debris from the past 2 years from the near by trees. Now we have a big bare spot in the yard. Check out how brown the grass is. I casted on this dishcloth last night and I’m halfway done already. Like I said they are an easy and quick. It’s been a day of cleaning, Monday is my cleaning day  So I don’t have much to talk about today. Tomorrow I hope to have time in the studio and some sewing. Till tomorrow  Kat

Blogtober; Day 2

Thought I would start this post with an adorable cat picture. The black and white is Tippy and the tabby is Bob. I’m so glad I live in a world where there are October. ~ L. M. Montgomery October is my favorite month and no better way to enjoy the end of summer and embracing Autumn  That is to have my morning cup of coffee out on the back porch. And the view is to watch the cows chomp away on the grass Part of my day was taking down the above ground pool. I’m not done ,but I’ll show that when I am tomorrow. Thought I would share this months dish cloth free pattern from Garlene at The Kitchen Sink shop. I started knitting theses this year but I believe she has been doing it longer, at least a year. This year they are all based on books Here are the first 9 months, Fun knits but I’m not sure what to do with them. Keep… gifts… just don’t know yet. Her patterns come out at the beginning of the month and I have found that it’s very doable to have it completed in a month.  This month pattern

What happen to Summer. It’s already blogtober

I started this post last week and decided to use what I started and add this,   it’s the first day of my Blogtober   I had been so out of touch...... time lately it’s just streaming by me   I did Blogtober last year and it was a fun challenge, so this year (at the last minute) I thought I’d give it a try again.  It will be me on a daily basis. I’ll try not to bore you too much. You can see last years Blogtober posts in the archives. 🍁🍂🍄🍁🍂🍄🍁🍂🍄🍁🍂🍄🍁🍂🍄🍁🍂🍄🍁🍂🍄🍁🍂🍄🍁🍂 post started 9/21/22 Tomorrow is the first day of Autumn, what happened to summer. And what a long, hot summer we have had.  In fact it is continuing here in NE Oklahoma.   I am so ready for Autumn and cooler weather.  So what have I been up to these past 3 months.  I have been struggling with back pain and can say that finally I see the light at the end of the tunnel.  Latest CT scan was clear and my next one is the end of October also I believe I have a good understanding and practices to aid in keepi

Hey it’s Summer

Wow has it been hot here these past few weeks. Yucky…… I don’t know about you but I’m a cool weather girl, me and heat struggle to be together. I’m getting more like myself in all ways these days which means I’m can tolerate some humidity but still limits my time to be outside and active. Which means I have been doing more inside.  Since I haven’t posted anything since March, it’s about time I do. Since the last post I have had a few quilts machined quilted and have been working on bindings. The Peace quilt has been finished and given to its new owner. Turned out so cool. Love it. It will be loved and used Then another quilt that was in the group of tops that were quilted is from Laundry Basket . This one I had finished a few years ago and it’s nice to be now working on the binding.  Here it is being trimmed up to have the binding attached which is what I am in the process of doing  This quilt is for me and will be another addition to my Christmas quilts collection.  I’ll show more p
