Blogmas Day 7-10

The past 4 days I’ve been able to get a few things done. I finished another one of the grandsons knitted hat. This one was black, and will take a picture tomorrow. Just forgot to and seeing how I’m not prepared at the moment. I did get a picture of the slippers I made Friday. I have a couple of other pairs to make for gifts. The pair for my daughter I’m waiting on an order for some yarn she picked out  thank goodness they are easy to make and quick.  I did very little on my snowman wallhanging. Nothing new to show, so bad….. Remember in the last post I mentioned “the man of the place” and I were going out to get something to decorate the house. We did and I wish I had taken more pictures than I did. I was just in a daze being around so many beautiful plants.  It was pretty foggy that day, in fact it had been for most of the week. Ended up purchasing a couple poinsettias and Cyclamens.  I’ve been working some on my Christmas socks Just finished the heel and it’s going along very nicel

Blogmas Day 4-6

Days 4, 5 and 6 It’s been somewhat hectic and stressful these past few days…. Nothing new! I’ve been focused on cleaning the house and wanted to get most of it done by Monday because I wasn’t sure how I would be after my appointment at the Breast Center yesterday. You see I had my annual mammogram a couple weeks ago and they found an area of calcification in one breast. So I had an appointment for further screenings to see if was something or not. The last thing you want to hear is that it could be cancer.  It was 2 years ago this month that I was in the middle of chemo treatments.  Well I didn’t quite hear that but was told I needed to have a biopsy to determine whether or not it is cancer this time. So needless to say I haven’t been thinking much of what to write about until today. Figure I would just be honest with myself and you.  Now I have to wait until next week to get an answer.  But it will not stop me like it did last time. I was so fearful and frozen I was unable to functi

A couple days ago I had completed the pink hat for my youngest daughter, she still loves pink. Day 3 Well I had my day planned to finish up cleaning the living room, dining room and the entryway but we all know what can happen to a good plan. Blogmas 2022

I’m going for it again this year  Blogmas Day 1. I failed at my attempt at Blogtober but I feel better at this time, more like myself. This year I will have all my children here for Christmas, it has been so long since we all have, I can not remember when that was. Will be so wonderful. So I’ve been busy getting the house cleaned, purchasing presents and planning menus. The only decorations up so far has been in the studio for my Advents. This year I have 3 Advents One is from a friend who lives in Australia.  Amy and I did an exchange last year and we decided to do it again this year. I am so excited to be sharing this with her. Then the 2 others were purchased, one is yarn minis from Sweet Skeins of Mine. Love her colors she dyes. And the other is part of a MAL put  on by Imagined Landscapes, she’s the one who designed all the gnome patterns to knit. The scissors are from Imagined Landscapes, the yarn is one of the minis and the beautiful fabric is from Amy.    Makes me so happy. T
