Time Flys

It's hard to believe it's been two weeks since I last wrote. 
I have been very productive tho.



I was able to complete my string quilt and love how it turned out. 


Can't say that it made a dent in the strips.





 I also machine quilted the turquoise baby quilt. Nothing fancy just some straight lines and waves around the outer border.
Now it's ready to be given away.

 Now I can say Yeah!!!!!

 The Farmer's Wife 1930 quilt is done.

I did a different setting than the book and didn't use all the blocks I made. I'll have to find something else to use the remaining ones.




 Turned out OK



 Measures out to be 86 x 93. 

 So now on the design wall is my OMG for this month 

it is one of the RSC I started in 2015

 Have 10 blocks but I'll need six more to go.

    ooo - those rainbow blocks are pretty! Can you use the FW blocks in a strip on the back?

    Yes you get big hays from me for all of these beautiful projects! After all that work the Farmer's Wife quilt came out really well. Your string quilt is the nicest I have ever seen. If you don't mind, I am going to start one like it today. I hope it makes more of a dent in my strings than you describe! I can't thank you enough for all the inspiration you have given me, and all the encouragement to handle life's ups and downs with joy, too.

How to Make a Portable Design Wall

I had wanted to get a portable design wall to take to retreats but did not want to pay the price. Looked at various pins on pinterest and took ideas from more than one to come up with my verison. It worked out great and only cost a fraction of the price. The PVC pipes, joints and 2 yards of felt cost under $22.00 My design wall is 4' x 4' which stands approximately 5 1/5' tall. It's for the Birds

WHOO  - WHOO It's my day for 'It's for the birds" blog hop.  Before I start I need to give thanks to our cheerleaders  and If it wasn't for all their hard work this hop would not of happen.  Thank you ladies Now for what you stopped by for.
