Blogtober; day 4

I realized last night that I had not mentioned what I decided to do this month. I had been watching some of my favorite podcasters on YouTube and how they were doing Vlogtober this month. It’s where they would post a video everyday this month. It would be what ever they decided on. Most would just talk about what is going on in their day.

Well I knew that doing videos was more than I wanted to take on but I could do this on my blog. And I figured what a great way to get me back in the habit of writing.

I have to admit I did not know this has been going on, on blogs. So it was not an original idea.

Here it is day 4 and a little something of my day.

I had a physical therapy appointment this morning but I had to cancel because apparently I ate something that disagreed with me. No way I could do exercises.

First time I missed and I was very disappointed.

I ended up laying around all morning  but while resting I was thinking about what I could share today and it dawned on me I could tell you about my reads for the months

I had a little while back decided I was going to make an effort at reading more

So I would picked out a few books each month

This month picks

First one is Merry Midwinter

By Gillian Monk

Said it’s How to rediscover the magic of the Christmas Season. It contains an abundance of ideas for how to make your own decorations; your own alternative gifts which cost nothing except your time and thought; your own entertainments and games; and simple, seasonal recipes. Along with history of where some traditions started

Second is a short story you can get for free online because of the age of this book  written in the late 1800’s

The Yellow Wallpaper

By Charlotte Perkins Gilman

It’s written as a series of diary entries from the perspective of a woman who is suffering from post-parturition depression.

Then the last one is to listen to, another classic

Rebecca

By Daphne du Maurier

Rebecca is a 1938 Gothic novel written by English author, Daphne du Maurier. The novel depicts an unnamed young woman who impetuously marries a wealthy widower, before discovering that both he and his household are haunted by the memory of his late first wife, the title character.

Have to have a little spook seeing how it's October.

Till tomorrow

  1. I've participated in Blogtober in the past, although I won't be able to do it this year. I wish you well this month in your participation. I also wish you well with your health. Food poisoning is no fun.

Welcome friends to share a thought, I enjoy reading them and will try my best to reply back by email most of the time. But if you do not hear back it's because you are a no-reply blogger.
