Showing posts with the label quilt show

Unbelievable

I have had taken these pictures back at the Dallas show last month and had meant to post these photos. I do not know about you but something I see quilts that just put me in ah. These two do it for me. This first one definitely deserved the first placed ribbon it has. The detail is amazing and her theme is so "sweet". Just love it. This one I just thought was so perfect. The thread work is so realistic and lifelike. I hope you enjoy seeing these as much as I did and someday I hope I will see works of these quilters/artists in the future. Kat

Exquisite Quilts

I have photos from The Dallas Quilt Show and all I can say is that a picture says a 1000 words. 1000 words more better than I could express I found the show to be very well done and the quality of quilts show the excellent craftsmanship of quilters. True artisans. I have more to process, like I said it was an excellent show. Great job Dallas. Till next time Kat =^..^=

Some Beauties

This is the best of show here at the Dallas show. Simply stunning.   This quilt I thought was well done. The applique is broidery purse and hand quilted.   This one I thought subject matter was cute.   This hand quilted whole cloth quilt is just gorgeous. I'll have more next time. I am just tired and need to get some sleep because tomorrow the show is from 12 - 5 and then we are going to drive home after we get the van loaded. Probably will not get home till midnight

I had intentions of writing about our trip to McAllen while being there but I was so tried from traveling the first day and than setting up our booth at the quilt show. By the time we would get back to our room all I wanted to do was rest. So now I want to share some pictures of our trip and then the next post I'll show a few of the vendors I met and the some of the quilts in the show.  The first picture I took was the sign saying we were welcome to Texas, no longer in Oklahoma. I have a thing for wanting to get a pic of these signs. I did miss the one coming back that would of been a welcome back to Oklahoma.  Our first stop was a little out of the way but we wanted to go check out the quilt shop Stitchen' Heaven. I was surprise that it was located in a semi small town. It was a very nice shop. If you are near Dallas you ought go out of your wa
