What's Up Monday



I have been busy outside of the home that I wasn't able to do much sewing today. 
But here is what I have up on the wall waiting for more blocks to be completed. 
Its going to be a full size quilt which will need 30 blocks and I have 20 done.
The pattern is one you use a Jelly roll plus some for the sashing and borders.



The pattern used is one that is from Sager Quilt. Every other month they have a meeting called Stash Busters where they give a free pattern and we come back two months later with our quilts we made using what we had in our stash. This one I have used only what I had in my stash.
I want to share the pattern here. 






I have up also are the blocks to the new 30's club quilt. Its a Lori Smith pattern Lily's Garden




I noticed that I hadn't appliqued the bottom right block when I took this picture, it's done now.

    What a gorgeous quilt!! LOVE those colors -so vibrant without being insane. :) And I really love the 30's Club project. I want to make a 30's quilt some day, and this is one of my favorites of the styles I've seen.

How to Make a Portable Design Wall

I had wanted to get a portable design wall to take to retreats but did not want to pay the price. Looked at various pins on pinterest and took ideas from more than one to come up with my verison. It worked out great and only cost a fraction of the price. The PVC pipes, joints and 2 yards of felt cost under $22.00 My design wall is 4' x 4' which stands approximately 5 1/5' tall. Fun Time with Dots
