Day 21: It’s Winter Solstice


 Here it is the day of shortest daylight here in the northern hemisphere 
One of my favorite times of year. 
I like the short days. I can cozy up to a fire and read. 
And that is what I did today. 

I also did some knitting, 
Worked on my Advent knit. 
Added another mini, which makes 7 plus the grey yarn. 



Slowly moving along. I’m enjoying the process very much now that I have the hang of it. 

Here are the past 2 days of the Advent calendar 



Again  very pretty, thinking sweater or cardigan. 

Tomorrow I’ll go and get my booster and couldn’t be soon enough.  Heaven knows I will do all I can do to avoid getting the virus. That’s all we can do. 

I had full intentions on sewing today but just didn’t get to it. Maybe tomorrow when I get back.  I did just fine with the first two shots so maybe I will this time also.

How to Make a Portable Design Wall

I had wanted to get a portable design wall to take to retreats but did not want to pay the price. Looked at various pins on pinterest and took ideas from more than one to come up with my verison. It worked out great and only cost a fraction of the price. The PVC pipes, joints and 2 yards of felt cost under $22.00 My design wall is 4' x 4' which stands approximately 5 1/5' tall. It's for the Birds

WHOO  - WHOO It's my day for 'It's for the birds" blog hop.  Before I start I need to give thanks to our cheerleaders  and If it wasn't for all their hard work this hop would not of happen.  Thank you ladies Now for what you stopped by for.
