For Today
Looking out my window I'm seeing how green the pastures are getting. The cows and their babies are just loving the green grass.
I am thinking about the veggie garden and whether or not I will plant as much as I have in the past. With the grandsons birthday in May and going out to California to spend time with them, it makes it a real big chore to maintain when I get back. Last year I did very little and the garden became a weed patch. And sure do not want that again.
I am thankful for so much and do my best to give thanks daily. I try to take time and become aware of the little things around me. Give thanks to all big and small.
One of my favorite things is to take a nap. Would like to say I do this daily but it's not possible. But when I can I do and cherish those times. I need recharging during the day.
I am creating all of the time whether it's sewing on a quilt to working with yarn, I always have something to work on.
I am wearing jeans and a big, comfy blue top. No make-up is normal for me when home. It's just me and the cats, cows and chickens and they do not care about how I look. All they care about is if I have something for them to eat.
I have been watching Doctor Blake Mysteries lately. It was on our PBS channel and now I have gone to Prime so I can keep watching. There are 4 season out and they are filming season 5 now.
I am hoping (and praying) mom hears some good news tomorrow.
I am learning how to machine quilt..... practice.... practice.... practice
In my kitchen are dozens of fresh eggs. The girls are very busy. And I had given away 8 dozens over the past weekend.

I found a picture of my man (wish)

lol always love Sam Elliot!! I do not dress up at home either, always jeans, capris, tanks and tees. a little make up when I run out but very little. I love looking outside a this time of year seeing everything grow. Right now I love working the garden but I know when Mike stops working for good we will be gone most of summer and I will only put in root veggies which can take care of themselves while I am gone and hopefully dear daughter will water now and then if no rain.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great view out your window of the cows and calves! They look so soft. Your chickens are producing a lot of eggs. There's nothing like a farm-fresh egg, is there? Your flowers are lovely...so many pretty colors!
ReplyDeleteLovely to hear what is on your mind. I hope that all will be well for your Mom. xx
ReplyDeleteI just started watching Dr Blake on Prime. I'm really enjoying it. I love the pictures of your cows and flowers. Hugs,
ReplyDeleteSounds like the start of a very good week. Love all your spring flowers. We walked in the park yesterday and found lots of color just starting to peak out.
