Some Finishes

I hadn't posted any finishes yet so I have a few to get you up to speed here.

So this quilt here was the first "one thing" I had planned to do and that was to put the binding on.





Took me an extra week to get it done.

Now it need a good wash

Then this next one was week #3 of "one thing"



I had planned to make these a year and half ago but life happened.
But now I have bowl cozies of mine own and have been using them. So wonderful, no more burnt fingers

Then I did get the towels I woven hemmed.





This is my first set of dish towels and had so much enjoyment weaving them that I am going to do more. They will make great gifts.
They are larger than most that you can buy in the store. Really like the larger size.


Last is this weeks "one thing"

Garden Party block




It turned out so pretty and I love how the laced flowers turned out.
I do have another block prepped but I think I'll give myself a few days before I start.
Now I need to think about what I want to be the next "#onethingwithamy"

    My goodness, great finishes. Love the lace flower applique in the last block. I was so impressed with your weaving of your own tea towels, amazing.

    You are so talented! The quilt is just fabulous! The orange binding is perfect. I’d never heard of bowl cozies. And hand woven towels! It’s hard to find a good dish towel. I know anyone who receives one will truly appreciate it. And the appliqué block is just lovely.

    You've been busy! That scrap quilt drew me right in; it's gorgeous! Love how the alternating "x" blocks pull it all together. Congratulations on a terrific finish.

    So much to love in this post! That Baptist Fan quilting is perfect for your scrappy quilt! Love the woven clothes and your Garden Party block is wonderful looking. Absolutely gorgeous!:)

How to Make a Portable Design Wall

I had wanted to get a portable design wall to take to retreats but did not want to pay the price. Looked at various pins on pinterest and took ideas from more than one to come up with my verison. It worked out great and only cost a fraction of the price. The PVC pipes, joints and 2 yards of felt cost under $22.00 My design wall is 4' x 4' which stands approximately 5 1/5' tall. For this size need 2 - 10ft length of 3/4" PVC pipe for the frame and 4ft of 1" PVC pipe for the feet Cut the 3/4" PVC into 4 - 4' section                                                                                       2 - 1' section              Cut the 1"  PVC into 4 - 1' section        ...

It's for the Birds

WHOO  - WHOO It's my day for 'It's for the birds" blog hop.  Before I start I need to give thanks to our cheerleaders  and If it wasn't for all their hard work this hop would not of happen.  Thank you ladies Now for what you stopped by for.
