Egg Recipe # 11

EGG RECIPE # 11 Egg Salad Sandwich Sorry for the delay, I did not get back from the Dallas Show until after midnight, while making an egg salad sandwich for lunch this afternoon , I realize I needed an egg recipe. So my sandwich is very rough looking. I didn't make this as I would if I was to serve it to others. I would of spent a little more time on chopping up the eggs and fillings. I am going to give my basic egg salad recipe and you can add and change depending on what you have on hand or in the mood for. 4 hard boiled eggs 1/4 cup  mayonnaise 1/2 tsp. yellow mustard 1 Tbsp. finely chopped onion 1 Tbsp. finely chopped celery 1 Tbsp. sweet pickle  relish 1/4 Tsp. paprika salt and pepper 1. Chop the eggs into very small pieces and place in a bowl. 2. Add the remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly. 3. Serve on bread of your choice, crackers  or a bed of lettuce. Now you can add things like; bacon, green onions instead of onions, gr

Some Beauties

This is the best of show here at the Dallas show. Simply stunning.   This quilt I thought was well done. The applique is broidery purse and hand quilted.   This one I thought subject matter was cute.   This hand quilted whole cloth quilt is just gorgeous. I'll have more next time. I am just tired and need to get some sleep because tomorrow the show is from 12 - 5 and then we are going to drive home after we get the van loaded. Probably will not get home till midnight

Packing Again

I am packing again to go help work in my friend Pam's booth and this time we're going to Texas again. Just not as far, we'll be at the Dallas show. Shorter drive, but the weather might be an issue. Hope not. I'm packing and remember I  had decided a couple of days ago I needed to make myself a shoe bag. I have been using plastic grocery bags, nothing wrong with that but I had seen one in the book Some Kind of Wonderful.  The cutest and looked easy enough. It was.... the hardest part was finding material to use Now I can go finish packing. If you make it to the show, I would love it if you would come by the booth (Sager Creek Quilts from Siloam Springs)  and say "Howdy". Till Next time Kat =^..^=

Monday Update

OK I said I would say what I was able to get done. First on the list... I did get all the strips needed for my Some Kind of Wonderful quilt cut. Plus I was able to get the squares cut too.  Second on the list... I'm disappointed the I did not get more than 3 houses done. I forgot about our bible study, Sisters in Scripture was this evening and I had to get tonight's block done to show how to. So here was tonight's block, Salome. I still have some paper to clean up and than do a satin stitch where the 2 different fabrics meet. Then when it came to the third on the list, working out in the garden I guess I am not totally over the head cold cause I was pooped by this afternoon, so I had to have a nap. It would have been better weather wise today than it is suppose to be tomorrow. We are in a wind advisory for tomorrow I want to share a blog I came across just the other day. It is called   Sustainable Eats For the next 12 months each

What's Up Monday

This is what I had up on my design wall when I woke up, and it is what I want to work on. I just have 2 houses and need to make a zillion more, you think I would have more since I am paper piecing them, they go together quickly plus I'm using up my endless pile of scraps Then I am still trying to catch up on the QAL Some Kind of Wonderful  I have  Dec - Feb appliqued and now they started March.... NO PRESSURE I need to finish embroidery in the blocks then assemble the strips together. That means I am cutting 2" strips for sashing between the appliqued blocks.   So here is my THINGS TO DO LIST   for today I'll  be back at the end of my day to show my accomplished tasks Till later Kat =^..^=

Egg Recipe #10

I have been fighting a head cold the past couple of days so what is better for being sick than Chicken Soup. So Today I made a batch of soup and figure egg noodles would be wonderful....plus it would satisfy my egg recipe for the week. Hate to say it did not make a dent. Used only one egg. Egg Noodles 1 cup of all purpose flour pinch of salt 1 egg, (can beat first) milk, an eggshell full I put the cup of flour on the counter and than made a crater shape bowl in the middle of the flour. I add the egg and the milk. Mix it by hand until well mix, if need to add a little more milk. Roll it out until it's about 1/8" - 1/4" thick. The noodles do puff up some when cooked.  I cut mine into approximately 1/2" strips using a pizza cutter. They need to air dry for at least an hour, up to 2 hours Then add to your soup or you could just cook them simmer water if you would like noodles for another recipe... like Alfredo,

Stash Report

This week was a good one for me, seeing how I did not update my totals in a couple of weeks. I had nothing to put in other than change the dates....which I did not. The Hunter Star took 10.5 yards...since I started it last year and was not adding up my stash then,  I figure the UFO's I am working on I'll just wait until I have them done to add up the yards used. Now these are my new numbers, Used this Week:  10.5 yards Used year to Date: 37.25 yards Added this Week: 0 yards Added Year to Date: 36 yards Net Used for 2012: 1.25 yard WOO...WHOO...     I'm in the good again, up 1.25    :) Check out  Patchwork Times  to see how others are doing.
