What's (not) Up

I had taken my part of the Quiltathon and meant to give an update each day but somehow the days got away from me. I was able to do a few things and would love to share what I did. Then I will continue with what I plan on doing this upcoming week. Yes I know, Thanksgiving is this week but unfortunately the family are all far away and will not be here for the holiday.  Well on to some happy thoughts, I did get the binding on the Sunflower quilt and now need to hand stitch it down and when I get it done I'll post a finish picture and I did work on Ben's stocking each night. Remember I was going to show a before and after picture.  Here it is. before  After These little quilts are for the grandsons of course and they fit in with what I did this past weekend and what I'll be working on this week I'm still getting use to making two of everything.  I did not get my stash bee block done so I need to work on that this week also but did not pu

New Day, High Hopes (Day 2)

I am ready, bring it on. It's day 2 and I have given myself a pep talk and have a plan for today.  I am going to sew the binding on the two quilts that were on my list, I need to take the cats to the vet for shots, run a couple of errands, make a soup for dinner (not sure what yet) and if I have time make this months stash bee block so I can get in the mail. Last night I did work on Ben's stocking but I thought I would do is show a before picture and then at the end of the 4 days I'll show an after picture . So here is the before,   I think it will be interesting to see. When you do something it is hard to remember what it looked like in the beginning, your memory goes through the development along with whats being done.  till later http://sewmanyways.blogspot.com/2012/11/find-friend-fridaylinky-party_16.html

November is becoming a blurrrr

Day 1 That's me I was checking some of the blogs I follow before I got my hiney up from this chair and saw Judy's post at Patchwork Times  how it is the first day of November's quiltathon. Like Judy it came up on me. I am like an ostrich with my head buried. I planned on working on a few things this weekend for a change because you see it's hunting season here and "the man of the place" with be out in the woods and not here. Which means I will be in my sewing room. But I will have to throw in a few other projects that I need to do or started already that are not quilt related. What the heck, I little added spice to the mix. So I'll be back after a while with some progress to show, of what, I'm not sure yet. I have so much do which  makes it harder sometimes to decide what to do first. Especially when you think more than one should be first.
