Easy Peasy

Bonnie was right about this step would be easy. In less than 2 hours I was able to have what I needed cut and 1/4 of them completed. I would of tried to finish but I didn't start working on them until 6 pm. My brother and his family came for a few days from California and we had dinner at our parents. A couple o f hours is good enough for now, I'll work on them tomorrow. You see my Christmas is over for now. My daughter and the grand boys will not be here this Christmas or any of my other daughters. I didn't realize this is how it would be, when my kids were little we always had Christmas with the family and grand parents and you think that is how things will always be. That's not always true, is it.    Usually when I make a unit like this I will sew another stitch line at least a quarter inch from the first, so that way when I cut off the tip, I end up with a set of half square triangles   They are 1 1/2 unfinished. I should get 128 of these.

Christmas Spirit

I'm bursting with Glee

I feel very lucky in many ways. Three beautiful, sweet daughters, a wonderful man I'm proud to call my husband, and now two little adorable grandsons. We are all healthy and doing good. I'm living the life I imagined when I was young. So you see I feel very lucky but I have not been lucky at lotteries or drawings or giveaways until now. I had entered many giveaways in hope of this would be nice, so when I enter one at  One Good Thing by Jillee  it was like so many I have done. And because I usually get passed by I forget about checking back. Then last week I received that email we all love to get ,  YOU WON .   Oh boy but the best part was the prize There were 2600 entries and I was not expecting to win. I chose the camera, I have been wanting just this one too. Now that I am feeling better,  I think I can concentrate on the manual and figure out all the bells and whistles.  It has been years since I have used a camera of this sort, to date me I
For the pass couple of days I have been down with some sort of stomach bug but today in my email box was this video from a friend. She could of not picked a better one to lift my spirits. I so want to someday have goats again. They are so much fun and sweet animals

A Day on the Farm

While "the man of the place" was out tending to the cattle this morning I figure I would clean a little and then get busy working on Clue 4 to the mystery Easy Street that Bonnie Hunter is doing. I was making good  time and just about done When "the man of the place" came in and ask if I would come outside and help him moved the cows to the pasture across the creek. You see we rotate our cows around to the various pastures we have so there is good grass for them to graze on and this time of year the pastures are at the end of their growing season and we will soon be feeding them hay but we have one more pasture that the big girls can graze. So we moved them into the corral so we could separate my cow, Snicker. And yes I do have a cow, she is the prettiest one in the group  Isn't she pretty.  She has such a lovely lock of curly hair on her head. She is 10 years old and that is getting up there for a cow. She has been such a good breeder and

No-Sew Fleece Scarf

I had meant to post this a couple of days ago but as things happened I forgot my power cord to my laptop at 30's Club Tuesday so I had to go back to Sager Creek Quilt Shop yesterday and pick up my cord. And I just can't go that far without making it worth my gas to not go ahead and go to the store and pick up whatever I might need for next week. With that said I did not get back until late in the afternoon and I hate to say it but I was tired and just could not get myself to write.  Here is the No-Sew Fleece Scarf I promised. I had made some quick pictures and they are not the best ( that should change here in the near future but that's for later ) and I gave the scarfs to my daughter when I was there. It is very easy and there is no reason that this can not be a gift that a child could make. You will need around a 1 1/3 yds of fleece. And the pattern you can download the pattern here    You can make them a solid or out of one fabric.  Or you can u
