My Slow Sunday

My Sunday was a nice one with my grandsons and doing a little stitching and crocheting.

The "Little Dudes are obsessed with Thomas the Train 



I decided to make slippers for the boys and had them made before I came but they were too small. Now I'm doing a redo.
They will look something like this.

And when not crocheting I am working on the Pea Ridge Lily blocks. I'm getting there, half way done.

    What a shame about the slippers they look wonderful, I have 2 little Grandsons who would love them they are Thomas fans too.

      if you crochet you ought to give them a try. I need to find a little one to give them to. Grandsons are such fun, aren't they

    That's quite a train layout the boys have there. My daughter would have been in alt at that set up when she was that age. For now her Thomas trains are boxed up and stored in he attic waiting for the day she has little ones to come play with them.

      They sure enjoy those trains. Someday I imagine that will happen to their trains too. They grow up way too fast. Good memories tho, Kate

    Love the photo of the kids playing. Takes me back to when my kids built roads out of clothespins and used hot wheel cars.

    what a wonderful Sunday. My youngest grandson is also a Thomas freak...so much fun...which I knew how to crochet.

      I introduced them to Thomas and we see each other that is the first thing we do and talk about. Love it

    Oh I remember the days of Thomas. I even had a video that we watched at nap time. Now that young boy is driving. Where did the time go. Cherish the time with them.

How to Make a Portable Design Wall

I had wanted to get a portable design wall to take to retreats but did not want to pay the price. Looked at various pins on pinterest and took ideas from more than one to come up with my verison. It worked out great and only cost a fraction of the price. The PVC pipes, joints and 2 yards of felt cost under $22.00 My design wall is 4' x 4' which stands approximately 5 1/5' tall. For this size need 2 - 10ft length of 3/4" PVC pipe for the frame and 4ft of 1" PVC pipe for the feet Cut the 3/4" PVC into 4 - 4' section                                                                                       2 - 1' section              Cut the 1"  PVC into 4 - 1' section        ...

Fun Time with Dots
