Eye Candy

Today was our small group who meet under the direction of Chris Clardy.  It is always well worth the drive for me. You see it is, about 45 miles from my home. I know its a way but it is a pretty drive most of the way.  Today we had quite a few quilts shown. Here are just a portion of them.

This was a family heirloom. Made by her grandmother for her brother.


Isn't this the sweetest little horse pattern. Lots of detail in stitching.


This was Kathleen's anniversary quilt. Each block represent someone in her family.

How to Make a Portable Design Wall

I had wanted to get a portable design wall to take to retreats but did not want to pay the price. Looked at various pins on pinterest and took ideas from more than one to come up with my verison. It worked out great and only cost a fraction of the price. The PVC pipes, joints and 2 yards of felt cost under $22.00 My design wall is 4' x 4' which stands approximately 5 1/5' tall. It's for the Birds

WHOO  - WHOO It's my day for 'It's for the birds" blog hop.  Before I start I need to give thanks to our cheerleaders  and If it wasn't for all their hard work this hop would not of happen.  Thank you ladies Now for what you stopped by for.
