A Couple of Finishes

I did it again and hadn't wrote a thing all week. 
It's been a busy week, went to the eye doctor and I am doing just fine. 
Spent the day Tuesday with my parents
When I was in Tulsa had to go to the newly opened Trader Joe's. So pleased to see it finally opened and now just waiting for Costco to open next month
Now for the finishes,



 first is a baby quilt. 
I machine quilt it myself using a walking foot. Seeing how I was quilting in the ditch and I'm so new at this I figure it would be easier.



After just 4 hours this quilt is finished and ready to be given away.

Then I have this month's group of circle completed.



Now have over 120 completed.

    Stunning fabrics in the circles. Amazing how quickly you were able to do the baby quilt, it is so pretty and sure to be well loved.

    Your novelty fabrics are looking wonderful for the the circles! And don't be so hard on yourself about the walking foot work. It all takes practice. At least that's what I tell myself! So much easier with the foot than without.:)

    glad you do not have eye problems I will be so glad when my eye finally heals from the surgery - maybe one week to go - can't wait to get back to quilting. Baby quilts go quickly on the machine

    Nice baby quilt! It's looks so soft. Your circles are looking great! Love Trader Joe's and I'm glad the one in Tulsa finally opened. I must visit it soon. Their Almond Flour is only $6.99/lb compared to $11.99/lb at other stores....or it was in Atlanta. Now I won't have to ask my daughter to mail it to me.

How to Make a Portable Design Wall

I had wanted to get a portable design wall to take to retreats but did not want to pay the price. Looked at various pins on pinterest and took ideas from more than one to come up with my verison. It worked out great and only cost a fraction of the price. The PVC pipes, joints and 2 yards of felt cost under $22.00 My design wall is 4' x 4' which stands approximately 5 1/5' tall. For this size need 2 - 10ft length of 3/4" PVC pipe for the frame and 4ft of 1" PVC pipe for the feet Cut the 3/4" PVC into 4 - 4' section                                                                                       2 - 1' section              Cut the 1"  PVC into 4 - 1' section        ...

Fun Time with Dots
