New Project

I know...
I need a new project like I need a hole in my head, as the saying goes.

But I couldn't resist.
I had been seeing photos on Instagram and blogs from the Netherlands and surrounding countries. I was so drawn to it...No control.

It's a Mystery Hexagon quilt called Winterse Hexjes from Anne Liefs who has a quiltshop in the Netherlands.

She started the mystery at the beginning of this year but you can still sign up like I did a couple weeks ago

This was week 1 and 2

Week 3 and 4

Now I'm starting on week 5

I'm using 1" hexagons and it is so far moving right along but I figure as it gets bigger it will take a little longer

Speaking of slowly moving along....

It's the second crochet scrap yarn blanket.

The one furthest is the completed first blanket and as you can see the second one is getting closer. Have about 24" left to go and I will so glad when it's done. I can say that I should have all the balls used up.

Thank you for taking a minute to visit...
Take care

  1. Beautiful hexagons--such lovely colors and patterns...
And I love your scrap crochet--i have tons of yarn leftovers and now that i can no longer knit because of my dang left hand thumb problem, I am thinking that just maybe I could crochet... is there a pattern for this? hugs, Julierose

  2. Very beautiful hexies! It looks like a very fun pattern. Congrats on having the second scrappy yarn throw almost finished.

Welcome friends to share a thought, I enjoy reading them and will try my best to reply back by email most of the time. But if you do not hear back it's because you are a no-reply blogger.
