Doing the Happy Dance

We are all doing the happy dance here on the farm. (this is suppose to be chicken impersonating Elvis).
We have gotten some rain and I mean a significant amount too.

Check it out.

Look 2 inches of rain fell in about 8 hours. It was quite the storm. We have been in a very bad drought here in Oklahoma and the cattle have been suffering because of it. So this is a blessing.



What a relief to see rain clouds over these very dry pasture.



Unfortunatly not far from here an elderly lady died when very strong wing blew her mobile home some distance with her in it. This was about 4:00 am. I did not know her but my prayers go out to her family.

    I'm so glad to hear you got some rain. Despite all the flooding here in eastern Nebraska (I live along the Missouri river), we hadn't had rain for quite awhile either...and with the extreme heat, vegetable gardens have not been producing. It was so nice to get rain...my flower bed looks perkier all ready!

How to Make a Portable Design Wall

I had wanted to get a portable design wall to take to retreats but did not want to pay the price. Looked at various pins on pinterest and took ideas from more than one to come up with my verison. It worked out great and only cost a fraction of the price. The PVC pipes, joints and 2 yards of felt cost under $22.00 My design wall is 4' x 4' which stands approximately 5 1/5' tall. It's for the Birds

WHOO  - WHOO It's my day for 'It's for the birds" blog hop.  Before I start I need to give thanks to our cheerleaders  and If it wasn't for all their hard work this hop would not of happen.  Thank you ladies Now for what you stopped by for.
