What's Up 02.15.16





I have still up and working on is Sew Kind of Wonderful's Metro Twist. Plus something else.

All I've been up to this morning is non-thinking job of straightening up in the sewing room. That is because I didn't sleep very well last night, due to my stomach acting up. I ate a combination of foods I wasn't eating during the Whole 30 and because I did not introduce it as single choice but together. I had a grill cheese sandwich with later a little chocolate candy. So needless to say I didn't do what I said I would and now I don't know if it's the cheese or the bread or it could be the chocolate. 

Anyway I've been in so motion all morning.



While straightening up I came across a couple of orphan blocks or unfinished project.
I saw one of Jenny Doan video called Disappearing Hourglass 2 a while back
Very easy pattern and plan to finish, just not sure I'll get to it today seeing how I'm working on the Metro Twist. But knowing how I can be so ADD at times you never know, I might have to.

Well that's it, not too much.

    I hope you will be able to get back to feeling good soon, and try again with the reintroductions. Good for you for accomplishing something on a day like today! I like the disappearing hourglass.

    Love what is on your design wall...that yellow fabric is so interesting...really gives a wonderful effect.

    I really like the blue-and-white blocks. Curved piecing is on my need-to-practice list.

    I like how you used the stripes in the yellow to add to the design. And the blue curved piecing is great.

    Sorry about the stomach problems, I hate it when it interferes with sleep. I really like that yellow block, very bright.

How to Make a Portable Design Wall

I had wanted to get a portable design wall to take to retreats but did not want to pay the price. Looked at various pins on pinterest and took ideas from more than one to come up with my verison. It worked out great and only cost a fraction of the price. The PVC pipes, joints and 2 yards of felt cost under $22.00 My design wall is 4' x 4' which stands approximately 5 1/5' tall. It's for the Birds

WHOO  - WHOO It's my day for 'It's for the birds" blog hop.  Before I start I need to give thanks to our cheerleaders  and If it wasn't for all their hard work this hop would not of happen.  Thank you ladies Now for what you stopped by for.
