February's OMG

It's February and time to share what my one goal for the month will be. But before I do that I would like to update on the surgery that was suppose to have today for Carpal Tunnel.
I've been having discomfort for some time in the upper abdominal area but haven't yet pinpointed the cause. Had an ultrasound done this past week and gave no clue. So as precaution we'll reschedule and do a few other test. 
Otherwise I feel fine.
So now to my goal...



Since I have all the embroidery done on the Friendship blocks and trimmed down.....it's time to put it together.



This is it so far.



It will of course be set on point and as of right now I'm not sure if it will have a border or not. 



My thoughts are not to use this quilt on a bed but do look forward to displaying it.... so size is not an issue.



I expect this be an easy goal as long as I don't run into no problems.

    Visiting from NTT. Your Granny Square blocks are lovely. I don't think a border is needed. I am sure they will shine just by themselves :-)

    So sorry your surgery was cancelled, hopefully it can be rescheduled soon and there is no other underlying issues. I am so looking forward to seeing this beautiful quilt, a real delight.

How to Make a Portable Design Wall

I had wanted to get a portable design wall to take to retreats but did not want to pay the price. Looked at various pins on pinterest and took ideas from more than one to come up with my verison. It worked out great and only cost a fraction of the price. The PVC pipes, joints and 2 yards of felt cost under $22.00 My design wall is 4' x 4' which stands approximately 5 1/5' tall. Fun Time with Dots
