Hey Sunday

Here it is April 21 and it's been in the 50's
and we have a fire in the stove. I can't remember having one for days this late before. Strange weather, but I do like the cooler temperatures.

I have been wanting to share this for months. 
I have since the new year started keeping track of the days and time spent in the sewing room, this doesn't count in handwork or quilting.
Kate over at Life in Pieces has been doing this and I out of curiosity decided to follow her lead and see how much time I do spend sewing.
I have spread sheets that I have to keep track.



These are the last 3 months and since I haven't yet made a tab at the top for me to keep track, here are my current numbers

Days with stitching time this week:  6 out of 7 days 
(missed one this week)
Days with stitching time this month:  20 out of 21 days
Days with stitching time this year:   82 out of 111 days
Success rate:  74%

Hours spent so far to this day 120 hours and 28 min 

Fabric used this week: .50 yards
Fabric used in 2018:  23.75  yards
Fabric purchased in 2018: 27.33 yards
Net fabric out for 2018:  - 3.75 yards

    What a pretty quilt and I see 'someone' has already claimed it for their own!!
    and I also do Kate's count--and have a small notebook that I keep track in--though mine is just for hand quilting and my goal is 30 minutes a day--so far this year I think I have missed 6 days--3 I was on vacation and couldn't quilt--

How to Make a Portable Design Wall

I had wanted to get a portable design wall to take to retreats but did not want to pay the price. Looked at various pins on pinterest and took ideas from more than one to come up with my verison. It worked out great and only cost a fraction of the price. The PVC pipes, joints and 2 yards of felt cost under $22.00 My design wall is 4' x 4' which stands approximately 5 1/5' tall. It's for the Birds

WHOO  - WHOO It's my day for 'It's for the birds" blog hop.  Before I start I need to give thanks to our cheerleaders  and If it wasn't for all their hard work this hop would not of happen.  Thank you ladies Now for what you stopped by for.
