Well I have a lot of things I need to take of this week and they are small things but enough of them to become a lot.
To start with I have joined the Blog Hop
Nancy Drew is a Clue. I have links on the right side to check out who is showing today. My day is Thursday the 14th.
I hadn't seen the fabric when I joined but I loved the books when I was young so I thought it would be fun. But the fabric (which I purchased a charm pack) is not what I would usually buy so it has been a defiant challenge to come up with a project.
I had made a few yo-yo's thinking I was going to try to make a quilt I had seen in McAllen Tx. but realized I did not have enough charms so I'm not sure now. I been thinking about a couple of other ideas, just haven't decided yet. I will have something by Thursday.
Then I have my orange scrap container out and as you can see I do not have much orange, who know I might get to use these all up. Its for the rainbow scrap challenge
and again it will be a child/baby quilt.
I'm making progress on my 30's row quilt and I wanted to show you one I had seen at the McAllen show last month. I just can't get it out of my thoughts
Here is the info on it
What I just love about it is the row of houses
So I'm thinking about replacing the large floral basket with a row of houses
What do you think?
I would like to know!
I've linked up with patchwork times and lets get aquainted monday
What a great quilt! I love houses. And am SUPPOSED to be doing those 365 3" houses. I was gung ho in Jan - March last year and now they are in a box laughing at me!

I don't quilt, but it looks like you are having fun with it.
ReplyDeleteI say go for the houses---It will be a darling quilt. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the look of the row quilt, but have never made one myself. Boy, the options are endless! Maybe do a row of pieced school houses instead of the applique?
ReplyDeleteHi Kat, I sure would change the blocks and build a row of houses in.
ReplyDeleteI like houses. Marle
I like both the houses and the floral center. What about substituting the houses for another one of the rows? Pick one of the rows that you don't like as well as the houses. It sure is a pretty pattern, and I love the house row on the other quilt.
ReplyDeleteI can see why you want to incorporate the houses....They are pretty cute!
ReplyDeleteLook forward to seeing yours.
I like the houses..and I love the fabric.
ReplyDeleteOh! What a pretty 30s quilt you're starting in on! That one from the show is wonderful, too. I'd want the houses, as well. But I really like that large basket row. Can you trade out a different row? Maybe the one lower down with the 4 flower arcs?
