This past weekend I spent four glorious day at Roaring River Resort near Cassville Missouri. It was wonderful and you couldn't ask for a greater group to be with, plus the fact of four days of sewing.
Here packed and ready....
And I have to admit I had a big ambitions. I took three sewing projects and some handwork. I was able to complete two of the machine projects and get a good start on the 3rd... did do a little Handwork
My biggest achievement was......
drum roll please....
I finish #4 Ruby Garden, mine.
I am now done with all of the Ruby Gardens I am going to make.
I'm going to take a picture of the four of them and how I try to make each in the personality of the recipient later today
Then I was able to get caught up on May, June and July block for the rainbow scrap. Now it's on to August which is indigo
I had hoped that I could finish my string quilt that I had started a number of years ago. But I have to admit by third day I'm kind of tired and my neck was sore from sitting in sewing so much
But I did get a good start on it and did get some of the blocks done.
I worked on "Words to live by" but not quite finished the hospitality block but pretty close
Now I want to share pictures that I took out of the other quilters and their quilts that they either completed or were in the process of
There are some gorgeous ones and one was pretty much completed the Civil War Bride
and then the other was Donna's, from our stitch group, who is working on her.
Love the detail of the brides face. Donna painted and did some embroidery to get such a sweet face.
We had attendances from all over. We had some from Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Missouri coming to the retreat.
This one is Kathy's from Kansas, she sent away for the BOM from Jen Kingswell in Australia.... it is just scrumptious
Now for some more....
Two ladies were working on Home Sweet Home from Blackbird Designs but this is the only picture I took. Thought I had more cause they had about 5 blocks ready to stitch.
And this piece is a Pieceocake Design.
Last but not least is Barbra's... using Sew Kind of Wonderful's curve ruler using up a small fraction of her Asian prints.
There were many more but did not get pictures. I was busy sewing and missed them.
How great! I LOVE Kathy's from Kansas:)
