My Turtle Pincushion Collection


I have been off the the grid here all week. It's not because of anything technical, its just that I have been busy doing heaven knows what. I have nothing to show for all my busyness. So I thought I would share my pincushions I have collected. "The man of the place" loves turtles and because he loves them I figure I would share in his love.  I believe in if I am to collect anything, it has to be something that is hard to find so that way I will not end up with a lot of it. I just do not have the room
Plus I hate to dust.

Here is some of my turtles,
 His head and tail bobs up and down.

I think this one is a french turtle, the hat.

Me and "the man of the place", so sweet isn't it.


This one is only 2 inches long. So cute.

I am always on the look out for more.

    I Love your turttles. I have the first one - 'bobbing turttle'

    I have been around along time, but never saw a collection of turtle pin cushions. That is so neat and they do not take up a lot of space.

    What a neat collection of pincushions. Turtles are a popular subject for so many things...I'm not surprised to see them as pin cushions. I'll be watching for them now, too!

    Who knew? I've never noticed turtles before (I'm a frog person) - cute collection. I agree about the dusting thing.

    I can imagine these are hard to find! My favorite is the one made from the beautiful shell-I have some of these my Dad brought back to Aus. from New Guinea after WW2.

How to Make a Portable Design Wall

I had wanted to get a portable design wall to take to retreats but did not want to pay the price. Looked at various pins on pinterest and took ideas from more than one to come up with my verison. It worked out great and only cost a fraction of the price. The PVC pipes, joints and 2 yards of felt cost under $22.00 My design wall is 4' x 4' which stands approximately 5 1/5' tall. It's for the Birds

WHOO  - WHOO It's my day for 'It's for the birds" blog hop.  Before I start I need to give thanks to our cheerleaders  and If it wasn't for all their hard work this hop would not of happen.  Thank you ladies Now for what you stopped by for.
